If you’ve never heard of King Gambrinus, here are a few details:

Basically, he's a legend as the King of Beer, also credited with putting hops in beer. The Devil made a deal with a heart broken Gambrinus that he would teach him to make beer in exchange for his soul in 30 years. He then tricked the devil when he came to collect. We are celebrating him as the king of beer, with credit for hops in beer.
